What is teleworking and what tools can you use?
Technology has changed our lives. From how we communicate with friends to how we work in the office, technology has changed almost every aspect of our lives. We won't be discussing the impact of technology on our personal lives today.
Rather, we'll delve deeper into how technology has taken
over every inch of business operations and spawned this new phenomenon that is
taking over the workplace: teleworking.
Thanks to the practice of working remotely and working from
home, the days of sitting in his cubicle for eight hours a day are gone.
Today's technology, be it our PCs, software or applications, has significantly
blurred the lines between the physical office space and the place where you
actually work.
With the instant access and always connected environment
created by technology, you can sit down at your laptop at your nearest
Starbucks and get some work.
Your workplace becomes where you decide to sit. From the
comfort of your home, in the cafeteria or in the coworking space. The workplace
has become almost non-stationary thanks to a culture of remote work.
What is teleworking? (Definition)
Remote work is any job you do that doesn't require a visit to
a physical office. You can work from home, cafe, bar, park, or wherever you
like.
The only requirements for working remotely are a laptop and
an internet connection (preferably a good one!). Teleworking is often referred
to as “teleworking” or “working from home,” but they all mean the same thing.
Types of remote work
1. In the office with the ability to work from home.
Some offices allow their employees to work from home several
days a week, while on other days they have to report back to the office.
2. Completely remote
In some offices, there are no such conditions, and employees
can work remotely as many times as they want.
3. Distribution of the brigade with nomads
A type of team of remote workers who are nomads / travellers
and located in different parts of the world with different time zones.
How is remote work done?
You can work remotely from virtually anywhere as long as you
have a laptop and an Internet connection. Some people work from home and travel
to the office once a week or once a month to discuss progress or important
meetings with clients.
Many people love the configuration of the office, but also
the flexibility of the home, and this is where coworking comes in. There are
currently 3.1 million employees worldwide, according to the GCUC Global
Coworking Report, and the number is projected to nearly double by 2022.
A coworking space is an organization in which employees from
different companies use a common office space. The difference is that employees
can come and go as they please and have the essentials for a typical office at
their disposal, such as a good Wi-Fi connection, printing presses, and other
office supplies (which they may not find in their home) ... ...
Many startups even work in a coworking space, as it is
significantly cheaper than buying or even renting a full-fledged office space.
